Gallatin Valley Land Trust - Conservation Program Manager in Park County

PCEC and GVLT have been talking and working for many years to increase capacity for private land conservation work in Park County and this exciting new opportunity will be a full-time staffer dedicated to just that.

GVLT has worked on conservation easements in Park County for many years but this will be the first staff person solely dedicated to Park County. GVLT is a nationally accredited land trust and brings over 30 years of experience and expertise with conservation easements.

PCEC has long supported private land conservation efforts and is contributing financially to make this position a reality. We are really excited about this position and thrilled to have more resources for private land conservation in Park County!

You can read the posting and apply here.

Montana Freshwater Partners/Defenders of Wildlife Beaver Conflict Resolution Specialist

Beavers are an integral component of healthy riparian ecosystems, but are often considered a nuisance in communities, due to their tendency to dam culverts and irrigation systems, or cut down trees.

Montana Freshwater Partners, Defenders of Wildlife (DOW), National Wildlife Federation (NWF), Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), and other partners - AKA the "Beaver Partnership" - are embarking on a project to demonstrate non-lethal conflict resolution methods for beavers in FWP Region 3. This partnership will work with watershed groups, landowners, agency partners, and land trusts.

This job will be hosted at Montana Freshwater Partners, which has an office in Lincoln School, right down the stairs from the PCEC office!

You can read the posting here.

Greater Yellowstone Coalition - Multiple positions

Our partners at GYC have a few open jobs, including a Montana Conservation Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to think about the changes the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is experiencing.

You can read the posting here.

PERC - Director of Conservation

PERC, which has been doing work in recent years involving elk in Paradise Valley, is hiring a director of conservation. This position will help direct the organization's work on conservation.
