Livingston Center for Art and Culture presents:
Suffrage, a Work in ProgressEntries accepted August 21 – Sept 19, 2020.
On Display from Oct 6th through 31st, 2020.
In 1914, six years before 19th Amendment was ratified, Montana’s state constitution was amended giving women the right to vote. Now, 106 years later, The Livingston Center for Art and Culture is commemorating this pivotal moment and the rights of all Americans to VOTE through art. Portray your message through paint, print, text, metal, clay, mixed media, glass, fiber, paper, photo, or video. This venue is most suitable for wall hung and pedestal displayed works.Open to all artists, both professional and amateur, regardless of their gender identity. Artists may submit up to 3 works digitally to Kathy@livingstoncenter.org. Limit to 2 jpegs/jpgs per artwork: one full view (required), and an optional second alternative or detail view. Accepted 2D works must be suitably framed with all necessary hardware attached for hanging. Artwork does not have to be for sale but it is encouraged.Alternately you can help chronicle the suffrage and civil rights movements with historic documents and photographs handed down through your family. We will incorporate these items throughout the exhibit.

2020 MSU Student Show: Off Campus
EXHIBIT: Tues, November 3 – Monday, November 16, 2020
Virtual Reception: Friday, November 13th from 6 to 8pm.
Final selection and participation to be determined by anonymous student jurors. No registration fee required this year in the era of Covid-19. This year the LCAC will be requesting work due by Wednesday, October 14. Each student may email up to 3 high quality digital images (jpegs) to be circulated amongst the other student participants for selection. Requirements, you may not select your own submissions and you must be a current student of Montana State University. The selected pieces that will be displayed will have received a majority of votes; pieces must receive a minimum of 5 votes to be displayed. All selected work MUST be delivered to the gallery in Livingston no later than Friday, October 30th at 4pm. Work is most easily displayed by hanging on the wall or displayed on pedestals. Sculpture exceeding 8 feet tall or wide may be considered ineligible. Work must be for sale, if you would like to request an artist’s contract to determine your interest in selling your work with us, please email us at Kathy@livingstoncenter.org
