33rd annual Livingston Depot Festival of the Arts, July 2, 3, & 4: Fine
art, crafts, food, fun
The Depot Festival of the Arts is back! The Livingston Depot will host
its 33rd annual Festival of the Arts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 2021. Festival hours are from 10 to 6 on the 2nd
and 3rd, and from 10 to 5 on the 4th.
The Festival showcases fine artists and crafters from Montana and the
western region into the juried show. Past and new vendors will present
oil paintings, photography, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, iron, apparel,
repurposed antiques, stained glass, herbals, toys, and more. Some
artisans will be doing onsite demonstrations. The Depot has limited the
number of artists this year in order to provide more space for all
“We are so grateful to be able to host the Festival of the Arts
again,” said Depot director Laura Cota. “The Festival is so much fun
and a great way to support local artists. We can’t wait to welcome
everyone back to Depot-Rotary Park. We ask that artists and guests do
their part to keep the community safe and healthy.”
The event also includes a variety of food vendors like Indian tacos,
fresh-popped kettle corn, chocolates, specialty lemonades, flavored
ices, and more.
Visitors can also enjoy the adjacent Depot Museum’s historic rail and
Yellowstone exhibits, as well as this year’s special exhibit,
“Invisible Boundaries,” a groundbreaking multimedia presentation
curated by the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody, Wyoming. This
stunning multi-media experience uses art, science, cartography and
multimedia to delve into the challenges and triumphs of herds as they
cross geographic, cultural, ecological, and political boundaries.
The Depot Festival of the Arts is a fun opportunity to stroll in the
summer air and enjoy food, pies, art, and friends at a central
Livingston attraction during the famous Fourth of July celebration.
The Depot Museum exhibits are open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5
with a nominal admission. Group tours are also welcome, and more
information is available through the Depot office at (406) 222-2300 or
its website, www.livingstondepot.org .
