Light Up Livingston

Explore Livingston’s Annual Light Up Livingston Celebration is partnering with Small Business Saturday to bring shoppers, diners, and families to kick off the holidays to Downtown Livingston Saturday, November 25. The Depot Parking lot will be closed for the festivities but there is free parking in nearby blocks, also convenient to your Small Business Shopping.
The Light Up Livingston Celebration on 11/25 is from 4-7 pm in the Depot Rotary Park, 200 West Park Street, with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public with free kids’ activities, entertainment, hayrides, and giveaways. The only costs are for food and drink vendors. Come early to take advantage of Small Business Saturday shopping in Downtown Livingston and grab a Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt card from a participating business to hunt for the Candy Cane icon inside businesses. Bring your card to the Explore Livingston tent in the Depot Park by 5 pm on 11/25 only to be entered into the drawing for hundreds of dollars of prizes, must be present to win.
Light Up Livingston fun begins at 4 pm with a candy cane hunt throughout the Depot Park, hayrides, take photos with Elsa from Frozen, Frosty the Snowman, and other beloved holiday characters, score giveaways and turn in your Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt cards at the Explore Livingston Tent. The Depot Foundation will be selling hot chocolate, the Office Lounge will sell liquor to spike those hot drinks, the event room (formerly Uncorked) at 212 W Park Street from Katabatic will be serving beer and wine, and don’t miss the Model Railroaders running model trains in the basement, right next to the Gourmet Cellar. Enjoy warming food from a great bevy of food trucks also. Inside the Depot, Links for Learning will have free hands-on crafts and activities for children; from Letters to Santa to candy cane crafts and games. After Santa lights up the Christmas Tree, he’ll meet with kids inside the Depot Foundation and there will be holiday photo opportunities throughout the event.
At 5:30 pm Santa will arrive to turn on the outdoor Christmas tree’s 25,000 lights and 100,000 lights on dozens of trees in the Depot Park. These lights will be on through the season, share your photos with #LightUpLivingston on social media.
Light Up Livingston is brought to you by the Livingston Tourism Business Improvement District, partnering with Livingston Depot Center, the Model Railroad Club, the City of Livingston, Livingston Recreation Department, Links for Learning, our food and beverage vendors, and entertainment partners including Sarah Skofield Insurance and Frontline Ag Solutions/John Deere. The Livingston Holiday Lights Committee is a community-funded nonprofit responsible for the Depot Park tree lights and holiday train décor in collaboration with the Depot Foundation, they receive no County or City funds. Livingston Ace Hardware is a primary partner for the lights and donations are appreciated through the QR code on posters or at www.downtownlivingston.org/holidaylightscommittee. Also enjoy the Downtown Snowflake Lights, the Downtown Livingston Business Improvement District displays 90 large weather-proof winter snowflake decor, in partnership with the Tourism Business Improvement District and Livingston Holiday Lights Committee.
