A primary reason Montana is still unspoiled

WSE and ranchers are finding ways to preserve this rare and beautiful place called Montana
BY WORKING TOGETHER
By working closely together, WSE and ranchers are finding ways to preserve this rare and beautiful place called Montana. Our state contains one of the last intact ecosystems remaining on the planet, and our wildlife resource rivals the Serengeti.
A primary reason Montana is still unspoiled is because of the stewardship of farm and ranch families. If we want to protect the wide-open spaces, environmental integrity, and the cultural character of Montana, we must work with our agricultural neighbors to be the best stewards possible.
Together We Are:
Offering workshops on regenerative agricultural methods that protect Montana’s soil, water, air, fish and wildlife.
Implementing grazing strategies that pull climate-changing carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and store or “sequester” the carbon safely underground.
Developing tools that measure the effects of regenerative methods, on land, soil and water, then using the information to guide management decisions toward long-term sustainability of a ranch operation while also protecting the environment.
Incentivizing regenerative methods by connecting ranchers with chefs, grocers, and other buyers who value local sustainably produced food.
To date, WSE has worked with over 1,300 ranchers to switch to regenerative management on more than 1.5 million acres in Montana. Through our market connections we generate over $1.75 million in annual sales for producers in our programs—all while making it easy for chefs and consumers to find local sources of sustainably grown food.
Together we are protecting some of the most important ecosystems and wildlife habitats in the world for future generations.
Please take five minutes to donate $5, $10, $15 or more to help protect this place we all love.
