PCEC Flood Aid
June 25 @ 8:00 am - July 17 @ 5:00 pm
Thank you to the 100+ of you that have offered to volunteer, and to all of you that are out in our community helping neighbors with the mucking and pumping, removing drywall, insulation, cabinets, flooring, appliances, debris, hauling garbage, etc etc etc. The list of needs seems to grow with every step of the process and the generosity in the PCEC community never ceases to amaze us. PCEC dove right into crisis volunteer management on the fly, so we appreciate your patience as we continue to develop our volunteer system to match willing volunteers with needs in our community. Here are the updates.
Interested in volunteering?
Sign up to volunteer with PCEC. If you have signed up to volunteer with PCEC, this is what to expect.
PCEC will host a Zoom meeting weekday evenings at 6:00PM to line out volunteer projects for the following day. At these meetings we will briefly discuss what you will be doing, what to bring, approximate times, who to contact etc. It has proven to be too difficult to keep track of volunteer schedules and our project needs seem to change by the day (or even hour), so we hope this system streamlines the process so willing people are helping community members in need!
Impacted by the flood?
Please contact 211 as soon as possible. The system is up and running and someone at 211 will provide you resources and set you up in Crisis Cleanup. This is a slick database where organizations with vetted volunteers like PCEC, Team Rubicon, Greater Impact, and more can see your property's needs and coordinate people to help you. We are hearing that there will be a LOT more volunteers coming to our community in the coming days, and Crisis Cleanup will be the system these organizations use as well. The sooner you are in the system, the sooner you will get help.
Thank you for being good neighbors.
