The Blue Slipper Theatre continues its tradition of offering the best in community theater as it has since 1964. The Blue Slipper, located in the heart of Livingston, Montana’s historic downtown district, is a non-profit organization operated almost entirely by volunteers. Four or five full-length productions are typically staged each season, with a variety of comedic and dramatic selections included in the annual lineup. The Blue Slipper hosts touring productions, music, and comedy throughout the year and offers a Christmas variety program to the public free of charge.

    Annual Attractions

    The Livingston Art Walks
    Livingston really shines during it's 4 Summer Art Walks- the forth friday during the months of June, July, Aug, and Sept.: June 24th, July 22, August 26, September 23. The galleries stay open late offering visitors the chance to mingle with artists, community members and other friends. Come explore Livingston-14 galleries, 3 stop lights, and the Heart of Art in Montana.

    The Livingston Depot Center Festival of the Arts
    On July 2,3& 4 the Livingston Depot Center's Festival of the Arts will be held in the Depot Rotary Park, adjacent to the Depot Center, in downtown Livingston. This juried show is open to all media of arts and crafts. The festival is open to all artists and craftspeople. Call 406-222-2300 for more information.

    THE DANFORTH FILM FESTIVAL See the schedule.
    The festival is held every winter to showcase the art of cinema, bringing films to Park County that might not otherwise be shown in a town the size of Livingston. Films are thoughtful, sometimes provocative, and always interesting.

    Park County Rodeos
    Gardiner Rodeo is held the beginning of June.
    Wilsall Rodeo is held the middle of June.

    Livingston Roundup
    Livingston holds its annual Roundup celebration the weekend of July 4th. The roundup includes the Livingston Roundup Parade, 3 nights of Rodeo and fireworks as well as a downtown hoedown. Check back for more details as they become available.

    Sustainabiltiy Fair
    Sustainability Fair is held at Depot Rotary Park in downtown Livingston, Montana. This fair showcases over 70 vendors of sustainable goods and services and many will host mini-workshops on their area of expertise. We'll construct an on-site "Sustainable Office" that will showcase the latest innovations in sustainable building materials and alternative energy features available. There will be a cord wood construction demonstration wall and many renewable energy demonstrations. There will be great sustainably-produced food, lots of educational materials and day-long children's activities. Admission is free.

    The event is sponsored by the Livingston-based Corporation for the Northern Rockies, a sustainable economic development nonprofit serving Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. CNR, in operation since 1994, promotes sustainable choices through education and economic incentives.
