For 18 years the Livingston
Center for Art and Culture has
has been sparking new ways
of seeing and thinking through
the experience of art and culture.

We look forward to our annual
Community Show: Tuesday, Feb 28th through Saturday, March 25th. Over 35 community members of all ages and ability have contributed work to this
vibrant exhibit that has become a wonderful tradition.

Reception for the artists to be held Friday, March 17th from
5:30 to 8pm at 119 South Main Street
in Livingston.

MARCH JEWELRY CLASSES
RINGS AND BANGLES FROM TIN CANS

Instructor: Bryan Petersen,
MSU Professor of Metalsmithing

Date: Saturday, March 25th Time: 11am to 3pm

Cost: $35 ($5 for materials). $40 Total Class Fee

Learn crimping and folding techniques to create rings and bangles to size from a deconstructed tin can. Learn to cut open, flatten and prepare a tin can for use in future projects and solder with lead-free plumbers solder and a soldering iron.
All levels of experience welcome.

We are now accepting poetry for Poetry in the Windows in celebration of April being national poetry month.

The Livingston Center for Art and Culture, in collaboration with Elk River Books, will celebrate by sponsoring Poetry in the Windows. Poems by local authors will be displayed in the windows of downtown businesses through the month of April. Community members can pick up a map in the gallery at 119 S. Main St. to follow a “poetry walk” or find a map online: www.livingstoncenter.org.

A poetry reading will be held on
Thursday, April 13th at 119 South Main Street.

Please email your poems (up to three) to kathy@livingstoncenter.org by March 25th, 2017.

This August from Saturday the 5th through the 11th, 25 Plein Artists will be participating in the Center's 9th Annual Plein Air on the Yellowstone paint out event. Up to three complete paintings will be submitted by the artists to be judged and potentially awarded up to $300 in cash for their efforts to complete work all painted en plein air in the natural areas of Park County. contact the Center for more details and find out how you can become an artist's sponsor, sponsor the event or purchase patron.
